Surrey libraries to reopen from 6th July

Surrey County Council plans to start gradually reopening libraries across the county from 6 July, in line with Government guidance. The first libraries to reopen will be Camberley, Dorking, Woking, Staines, Redhill, Horley, Epsom, Egham, Oxted, Farnham, Weybridge, Godalming and Guildford.

More Surrey CRCS re-opening

As part of our continued efforts to restore normal services to residents, we will be re-opening Caterham and Cranleigh community recycling centres in early July. Caterham CRC will be opening from Friday 3 July for residents to bring black bag waste and green waste only.

New average speed cameras installed following success of previous scheme

Surrey County Council is installing new average speed cameras on the A320 St Peter’s Way near Chertsey. This follows the successful introduction of average speed cameras along a 2.5 mile stretch of the A217 Brighton Road in Banstead that has resulted in a 55% reduction in collisions.

Helping residents travel safely out of lockdown

As lockdown restrictions are eased, Surrey County Council is working hard to help residents get around the county safely, and to support local traders as more shops start reopening.
