At Full Council yesterday, Surrey County Council Leader Tim Oliver announced a number of actions we're taking to deliver on residents' priorities including:

Increased investment to tackle potholes

Boosting the number of grass cuts in communities

At the Annual General Meeting of Surrey County Council on Tuesday, there was cross-party condemnation of Liberal Democrat misinformation during the recent local elections.

Surrey County Council has been awarded £997,843 to deliver improved facilities for walking and cycling throughout the county.

Cllr Kevin Deanus, the Cabinet Member for Highways, has announced that Surrey County Council is in the process of implementing its news 'find and fix' strategy within highways.

Surrey County Council continues to work with its partners to reduce carbon emissions and aims to be a net zero county by 2050, in order to protect future generations in Surrey.

Only Surrey Conservatives and Conservative-run councils are standing up to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ Expansion. 

A new countywide, partnership strategy has been agreed to boost our collective efforts to end Violence Against Women and Girls in Surrey. Work will now commence with partners across Surrey on an action plan to support work over the next three-years. 

On Wednesday 12th April, the High Court announced that it has granted permission for a Judicial Review into the proposed expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) London-wide from August 2023.
