The Conservatives on Surrey County Council have slammed the Lib Dems for an ‘absurd and waste of time’ Council motion, where, according to Mary Angell, the Cabinet Member for Children, ‘accuracy and truth are cast to one side’ so that ‘Lib Dem members, virtuous with indignation, can spout totally inaccurate nonsense’.
Surrey Leader David Hodge has been elected Leader of the Conservative Group on the County Councils Network (CCN). He will now go forward as the Conservative Group nomination for the Chairman of the County Councils Network at its AGM in September to replace the outgoing Chairman, Cllr Robert Gordon of Hertfordshire County Council.
